The Fruit of Our Labor Love is the fruit of our labour; Surely the toil of our days shall end Beyond the fruit of this earth; Though the hand that sows the seed is born o f the soil And must return to the soil; Yet the eye that sees the light is born of the sun And shall return to the sun; And as stars in the fields of the night Our souls scattered in darkness Sprout forth into Light; Out of the sands of Experience And the waters of Time Love breathes Life into the Seed And the Fruit of our Labour is LOVE.
Agape Gardens was founded in 2012 with a goal of creating a land-based, sustainable lifestyle for our family. In our long searches for land, we came across 7 acres near Perth, On and quickly fell in love with it.
Originally our goal was to build our own house with gardens around it, supply our family with our own food and market the extra abundance we would grow.
Little by little we learnt the realities of living on a small budget with a growing family. Without a steady income we had to let go of our dream of building a house in that year. We focused on the gardens and its permaculture design. We worked hard to grow delicious nutrient-dense vegetables, that we offered for sale at our farmers market stand in Perth, Ontario.
We developed a line of unique whole foods to supplement produce - from gluten free crackers, to delicious kale chips, to water kefir and kokmbucha. Eventually, we focused our energies more on Kombucha and Bone Broth, as that was something we enjoyed doing and seemed to have the best response among customers.
Late 2016 gave rise to a separate brand: ARTIZEN. The Art and Zen of fermentation, of creating bio available, pure organic beverages. That was the time we decided to enter stores and showcase our products on a larger scale. We are doing it still, learning as we go, and having lot's of fun!
Human after all, our mistakes give us the rise of passion to help others. This is where the idea of coaching came in. People love learning from us, and coaching folks as a service - is really an opportunity for starting entrepreneurs to pick our brains, and learn from our mistakes. Check out the coaching page of this web site for more information!
Thank you for sharing in our journey! Our passion and commitment is always to family, to our Creator, to the Earth, to creating wholesome pure products, to growing food and cultivating our local community.
